As I reflect on the Chester Standard's second annual Education Awards held on Friday, July 12, I can't help but feel a profound sense of pride in celebrating the exceptional individuals in the Early Years sector.
Our Early Years award is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of those who ensure that children in Cheshire West embark on their education journey with the best possible start.
During the special ceremony, graciously hosted by broadcaster Lucy Meacock, Cheshire West’s education community gathered to honour these outstanding contributions.
I was excited to share our three finalists for this year’s Early Years Award:
And the winner of this year’s Early Years Award, proudly sponsored by Evidenced Education Ltd, was:
It was a privilege to present the award to Kids Planet, Chester. Nursery Manager Jess Holland expressed her joy, saying,
“It’s amazing to win. I think it’s a testament to the staff, who make these nurseries special. Every day they’re working to make those children feel like they’ve had the best day ever, and we’re very privileged to work with them. We feel honored to be trusted with people’s most precious gift, and every single day we strive to keep families happy, nurturing them both at home and at the nursery, and creating that healthy community.”
Kids Planet shared their excitement on social media, stating,
"An absolute privilege to be declared WINNERS at the Chester Standard Education Awards!! A huge thank you to our staff, families, and children for all of your hard work, love, and endless fun!"
As sponsors, Evidenced Education also expressed our heartfelt sentiments:
"What a night, so honoured to present the EYFS award. The reels of the shortlist brought tears to my eyes – Guilden Sutton Day Nursery, Kids Planet Chester, and Little Learners Nursery School Chester. And the winner was Kids Planet Chester."
I can't wait until next year!
